I spent last week with a group of about 25 people Neuwerk. How (and that was now in my 9th time) every time, I was thrilled. Both the group and from the island. The group of people is colorful mixture aged 10-70 years. This year there were 9 children with the party. And what impressed me again and again: You can see and hear them little, except when we have breakfast together or dinner. Otherwise they are on the dike, in watts, or elsewhere on the site or the island. I work a lot with children and young people in various projects, but so balanced and peaceful children, I experience rare. But the adults in the group are very open and harmonious with each other, especially considering that all except a few, usually only once a year to see Neuwerk.
Since we all live in a country house, we must provide ourselves. This means that all food must be bought from us before. This requires precise planning, as well as the idea of cooking and cleaning services. During the stay on the island everyone has to satisfy at least serve a chef service (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and the next day Cleaning service. This is not much when you consider that the remainder of the week off then. This is the comfort is not very high. We sleep in bunk beds or twin beds, depending on how the rooms set up. Showers and toilets on the floor for only one person, at least for the women.
There is a TV room where a giant TV is new. Was used for the first time this year at the World Cup track.
But now comes the best: We were able to enjoy this year outside the entire evening meals, as the weather was beautiful. The "wave of the sea", this means the house stands apart from the bustle of the arriving passengers and day trippers. It is at the edge of the bird's territory and this year was very lively and loud, because we were very early in the year there. The birds had yet to feed their young and care for and protect them all from the many prying eyes. All in all I think Neuwerk very adorable and am always very happy there.
