New version of Avira anti-rootkit tool

Surprisingly, there are of the Avira anti rootkit tool, a new beta version 1.0.1.16.



The manufacturer has already announced plans to integrate the rootkit detector this month in its anti-virus products, so it would probably be the last stand-alone version.

The installation is a bit confusing: The latest beta could be installed only if they are installed on about it already installed, older version (with the option "Repair" in the installer).

There is another new version of Rootkit Unhooker with a few bug fixes.

Also on a different battlefield, there has been a partial withdrawal: the good old Sysinternals forum is a widespread spam attack concluded for an indefinite period (for two weeks only read access, no items of new items is possible).
